Virginia Tech vs Oklahoma - Orlando, Florida - Site of the Florida Citrus Bowl
David Wilson's 4-yard touchdown run near the end of the third quarter gave the Hokies a 17-14 win over Oklahoma in Orlando. The score gave Virginia Tech the lead back after the Sooners had taken their first lead of the game on Chris Brown's 46-yard touchdown run. Oklahoma had four possessions after the score and got into Tech territory on two occasions. Oklahoma fumbled the football at the Tech 39 with :14 left to eliminate any hope of a last second field goal to force overtime.
