The Aggies overcame a 7-point halftime deficit and rolled to a season opening 77-65 win over Weber State.
USU was led by Brockeith Pane with 23 points, while Tai Wesley chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds.
Damian Lillard gave the Bobcats an 8-point advantage with 16:01 to play with a 3-pointer to put Weber State up 45-37. Utah State scored the next 15 points before Lillard scored again, but by then Utah State had seized control. From there they extended the lead and took care of business for the WAC favorite.
Weber State is the favorite of the Big Sky Conference and was led by Lillard's 28 points.
